June 14th 2018 at 10PM pacific standard time the next part of the
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion and holy shit this was the best $30 on DLC I have ever spent. This wave adds a new challenge mode to the game in where the player will go through wave after wave of enemies in order to earn some kind of reward. The higher the challenge difficulty is, the better the reward is at the end. To be honest I wouldn't be freaking out as much if it was just the Challenge Mode alone but they added in both Shulk and Fiora from the first
Xenoblade Chronicles and I knew some crossover with the first game's characters was bound to happen where you could actually play/use them. You know, other than that spoiler at the end of the game.

But that's not the only news to appear for the expansion pass. The new story line that has been promised for September has finally been revealed.
Torna the Golden Country follows the the story of both Lora and Jin in the events 500 years prior to the events of the main game. New battle mechanics have been introduced, the ability to directly control the blade is there, and they finally showed Adam's face. This DLC storyline is so massive that Monolith software is actually going to release it as it's own standalone game. Which means people will have the option of purchasing this game on it's own rather than buying the original game. And for the people who bought the expansion pass, you'll still have access to the story so there's no need to pick up the standalone version. Unless you actually just want the standalone version for the hell of it.
